History of T&K Specialty Lure Company It all started out as a hobby and a big interest to do something a bit different. Taylor, then, and still is, is a big game hunter when it comes to wetting a line. The Hinged-Action Hook came about as the result of the Sunny-Eye spinnerbait, because it presented a streamedlined body that did not allow the eye of the hook to be embedded into the lure's body. After several weeks of trail and error, he decided not to embed the hook at all. To make a long story short, it worked! And the big plus was, as he found, once a big fish was hooked, it stayed hooked.
